Resilence of the European Pig industry

EPP invites all members and interested persons from the pig sector to the EPP-Congress 2023 which will be held 17-19 May 2023 in Seville.

After 2006 in Vic EPP organizes its annual meeting for the second time in Spain. A lot of things changed since this last gathering - in Europe and especially in Spain. Let’s visit the biggest pork producing country in the EU and get informed about pig and pork production between Olive trees and the Pyrenes!

Within our symposium we will attract the following topics (extract):

Spanish production model: large integrations & Iberian pigs
Value added production schemes in Europe
ASF from a technical and a political point of view
New Welfare regulations in Europe
Animal health and production: Solutions for increasingly stringent demand
Precision farming: Using IT and AI

An important item of our Congress are excursions. The organizing team is working on different options, including virtual farm visits in farms located in other regions of Spain.
A highlight will be the visit of farms with free ranged Iberico cattle and/or pigs (seasonally limited) and Iberian ham drying plants around Seville.

We will invite pig producers from Spain and Portugal in order to foster the exchange of information, opinions and views between each other.

Together with our partners Iplanning, APC and Anprogapor we will offer you a diversified program, interesting insights into Spanish pig production as well as Spanish traditions.
