EPP Congress 2024 in Nantes, France
EPP invites all members and interested persons from the pig sector to the EPP-Congress 2024 which will be held 29-31 May 2024 in Nantes.
How to engage the consumer? This important question is the main topic for the next EPP-Congress which takes place 29-31 May 2024 in Nantes, close to the Atlantic coast in West France. The French organizing committee has put together a varied programme with current topics. In addition to an extensive technical programme with excursions to companies and organizations of the pig producing sector we offer also some cultural highlights for our participants. The registration period starts in December 2023.

How to engage the consumer? – This will be the main topic of the Congress.
Therefore, we will attract the following topics within our conference (extract):
- Overview about French pig production system – Christine Roguet (IFIP)
- Role of meat in human nutrition – Philippe Legrand (Inserm – Agrocampus Rennes)
- A pig without CO2 emission – Gilles and Marie Agnès Fassot (Pig farmer)
- Cooperation between producers and retailers – Laurent Dartois (Pig farmer)
- Be good 2030 - A new pig production guideline of Henaff group – Loïc Hénaff (Henaff group)
- Challenges of pig production – Christiane Lambert (Copa Cogeca)
- Including live visits of pig farms (virtual)
The organizing team worked out an attractive excursion program. Within the tours in the Bretagne and to the Atlantic coast participants will also learn interesting facts about this famous region in France. A highlight will be the optional visit of Mont Saint Michel on Saturday for participants who are willing to prolong their stay.
EPP will invite French pig producers in order to foster the exchange of information, opinions and views between each other. This aims also into the re-foundation of the French EPP branch.
Together with our partners we will offer you a diversified program, interesting insights into French pig production as well as French traditions & specialities.
